LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After starting the season with a win at home, the New Mexico state women's tennis team hits the road for the first time this season for a pair of matches against Arizona and Arizona State this weekend.

First up for the Aggies will be the Wildcats of Arizona on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. (MT). NM State lost the last meeting between the two programs 7-0 in Tucson back on Jan. 24, 2015. Arizona hasn't played an official match so far and will take on Memphis (Feb. 1) and Northern Arizona (Feb. 2) before it battles NM State on Saturday. The Wildcats had an exhibition sweep over Team Japan on Jan. 25, 7-0.

New Mexico State will then wrap up its weekend slate with a 2 p.m. match against Arizona State on Sunday, Feb. 3, and can be seen on the
Pac-12 Live-Stream. The last time the Aggies and Sun Devils squared off on the court was back on March 23, 1996, a 9-0 affair in favor of ASU in Tempe. Arizona State is 3-2 overall on the year after starting the dual season off with three-straight wins over UC Davis, Drake and Northern Arizona before falling to Wake Forest and conference rival Cal. Prior to taking on the Aggies, ASU is slated to battle Cal State Fullerton (Feb.1) and Memphis (Feb. 3).

NM State will now travel to Flagstaff, Ariz., for a pair of matches against Northern Arizona (Feb. 8) and Utah State (Feb. 9) before heading to Las Vegas for a trio of matches (Feb. 15-17).
