The NM State men's golf team wraps up its fall at the Hoakalei Country Club Invitational on Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 28-30, in Ê»Ewa Beach, Hawaii.Â
20 teams, including the Aggies, will tee it up at Hoakalei Country Club. All three rounds begin at noon MT each day.
THE FIELD
Hawaii, the tournament's host, welcomes in Abilene Christian, Army West Point, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Denver, East Tennessee State, Idaho, Louisiana, Louisville, Loyola Marymount, Marquette, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, Sam Houston State, San Diego, UMKC and UTSA in addition to NM State.
THE AGGIES
NM State's fivesome for the tournament includes freshman
Aidan Thomas, freshman
Cole Grossl, freshman
Scott Rescigno, sophomore
Cameron Gambini and senior
Tanvir Kahlon.
The Aggies are coming off of a second-place finish in their lone home event of the season. Thomas dazzled in his first collegiate tournament at NM State Golf Course, claiming individual co-champion honors at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate with a six-under-par 207.
His performance helped lead the NM State men's golf team to a second-place team finish at even-par 852.
