COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The New Mexico State diving team competed in the 3m event at the Air Force Academy Diving Invitational on Friday in Colorado Springs with
MacKinna Hauff and
Raina Brommer both posting top-10 finishes.

"I'm very happy with how today played out," said diving coach
Miranda King. "MacKinna and Raina both made the top 12 out of almost 40 girls. It was a tough competition and our girls held their own. We are working to keep their injuries at bay right now as we work towards conference. We compete platform tomorrow morning and I'm excited to see how that goes."

MacKinna Hauff,
Raina Brommer and
Sheridan Decker all competed for the Aggies. Brommer posted the sixth-best score in the preliminary round with a score of 264.45 while Hauff finished the round in a tie for eighth at 257.05 as both moved on to the final round. Decker missed the cut at 16
th with a score of 239.00.

In the final round, Hauff posted a score of 271.75 for a combined score of 528.80 and a sixth-place finish overall. Brommer posted a 256.50 in the final giving her a combined score of 520.95 while she finished 10
th.

The New Mexico State diving team is back in action from the AFA Inivtational tomorrow, Feb. 2, starting at 9 a.m. (MT) as the divers are set to contest the platform event.
