Climbing Up
Through 23 games of the 2018-19 season,

While averaging a double-double,
Brooke Salas also ranks in the top-15 nationally in a number of categories. She ranks eighth in double-doubles (15), 11
th in rebounds (264), 12
th in defensive rebounds per game and 14
th in rebounds per game (11.6).
A Look at the Wolverines
Utah Valley enters Thursday's matchup in third place in the WAC with a 12-10 overall record and a 6-3 record in conference play. The Aggies took down UVU 58-52 in Las Cruces on Jan. 19. New Mexico State has won 10-straight against the Wolverines.
Los Lunas, N.M., native Jordan Holland leads the way for UVU offensively as the junior averages 13.4 points per game while also leading the squad in rebounds per game with 6.1. Joining Holland in double-figures is Eve Braslis who averages 10.1 points per game.
As a team, the Wolverines are ranked fourth in the conference in both scoring offense (63.5) and scoring defense (64.4). UVU is the best shooting team in the league, both from the field and from three. Utah Valley shoots it at a 42.7-percent clip from the field and a .326 clip from three.
Scouting the Redhawks
The Redhawks are currently on a three-game losing streak and hold a 1-21 overall record to go with a 1-8 WAC record. The Aggies beat the Seattle U 75-55 on Jan. 17 at the Pan American Center.
Seattle has two players averaging double-figure scoring number led by Kamira Sanders with 13.9 points per game. Along with being the Redhakws' top scorer, Sanders is tops in rebounds with 5.9 per game. Joana Alves is the team's second-leading scorer, averaging 12.4 points per game.
In the conference, Seattle U ranks near the bottom, at seventh in scoring offense with 59.9 points per game and is eighth in scoring defense, giving up 71.3 points per game.
Last Time Out
The Aggies took on CSU Bakersfield on Feb. 7, and Grand Canyon on Feb. 9 in a pair of WAC home games. NM State completed the season-sweep of CSU Bakersfield, 61-48, while avenging its only conference loss of the season with an 81-52 victory over Grand Canyon.
Against the 'Runners,
Brooke Salas recorded her 14
th double-double of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds with
Gia Pack adding 12 points and nine rebounds. The matchup with the Lopes saw Salas post her 15
th double-double with a 25 –point, 18-rebound performance in the win. Pack tacked on 19 points and
Aaliyah Prince scored eight off the bench.
