LAS VEGAS – The New Mexico State women's golf team wrapped up a shortened day one of play at the Rebel/Beach Invitational on Monday at the Spanish Trail Country Club. In the second round, play was called off due to darkness and in the first round the Aggies shot a 317 (+29) to sit in 16
th place.
Pun Chanachai who fired a four-over, 76, to put the golfer in a tie for 24th, led team play for NM State.
Dominique Galloway followed two strokes behind at 78 (+6) and is tied for 48
th after 18 holes of play.
Maria Prado carded an 80 (+8) and is tied for 64
th at the end of day one. The Aggies starting lineup was rounded out by
Tiegan Taylor and
Kehler Koss who are tied for 81
st with each golfer shooting an 83 (+11).
At the end of day one, the team leaderboard has host UNLV and San Jose State tied for first at 290 (+2) and Arizona completed the top-three at 291 (+3) through 18 holes.
Play at the Rebel/Beach Invitational is set to resume with the completion of the second round at 9:30 a.m. MT, followed by the third and final round immediately after on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Live scoring for the entire event can be followed on
