LAS CRUCES, N.M. – With the conference slate all wrapped up, the New Mexico State women's tennis team will hit the road for a pair of rivalry matches this weekend before taking off for the conference tournament.

With the No. 2-seed in the league tournament all sealed up, the Aggies head into the final weekend of regular-season play 12-8 overall.

First up for NM State will be Battle of I-25 rival New Mexico on Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. (MT). The Lobos enter the weekend 10-8 overall on the season with a perfect 7-0 mark when playing at home. UNM has also won seven out of its last eight matches. Following the match against the Lobos, NM State returns to the borderlands for a 2 p.m. (MT) against Battle of I-10 rival UTEP at the El Paso Tennis Club. The Miners check in at 7-12 overall and 5-1 when playing on its home court while also boasting a three-match winning-streak.

After the rivalry weekend, NM State is set to head to Brownsville, Texas, for the WAC Tournament where the Aggies will play as the No. 2 seed and take on the winner between No. 3 Kansas City and No. 6 Seattle U on Saturday, April 27, in the semifinals.
