INDIANAPOLIS – The New Mexico State women's tennis team garnered the NCAA Public Recognition Award for the fifth-consecutive year after posting another multi-year Academic Progress Rate score of 1,000 the national governing body announced.

The award recognizes teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top-10 percent of their respective sports based on their most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rate after the 2017-18 academic year.

This is the 14th year that Academic Progress Rate (APR) data has been collected for Division I schools. APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams. The latest date released by the NCAA this past Wednesday spanned from the 2013-14 through 2017-18 academic years.
