Queen Recognized with NABC Honors Court Award

NM State men’s basketball’s Trevelin Queen was named to the NABC Honors Court on Wednesday.

KANSAS CITY – New Mexico State men's basketball guard Trevelin Queen was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2018-19 Honors Court Wednesday morning. The award recognizes men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during this past season.

Queen is the first player ever in Aggie basketball program history to earn the academic honor from the NABC. The Glen Burnie, Md., native averaged 7.8 points with a .475 shooting clip last season off the bench and was an integral member of the team down the stretch.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be of a junior or senior and a varsity player, cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year, matriculated at least one year at their current institution and a member of a NCAA Division I, II, II or NAIA Division I or II institution with an NABC member coach.
