COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. – Sophomore Garrison Smith fired a one-under-par 71 in the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at the Blue Course of the Eisenhower Golf Club, helping the NM State men's golf team climb the leaderboard ahead of Sunday's final round.
 
The Aggies are in 13^th place (594, +18) at the conclusion of day two, moving up two spots from yesterday's result.
 
Senior Tanvir Kahlon continues to pace NM State, as he sits at even-par 144 through the first 36 holes of play. The native of Surrey, British Columbia, is tied for 25^th entering tomorrow's final round.
 
Senior Niall Powell, meanwhile, once again followed closely behind Kahlon. He shot a two-over-par 74 and sits tied for 34^th entering the final round.
 
Tomorrow's round tees off at 7:15 a.m. (MT).
