LAS CRUCES, N.M. - With its 2020-21 season less than two weeks away, the NM State men's basketball team received a commitment for the 2021-22 campaign when 6-4 guard Kiran Oliver signed his National Letter of Intent to suit up for the Aggies.
Hailing from Chicago, Ill., Oliver is wrapping up his prep career this coming year and has spent his high school days competing for teams in the state of Arizona.Â

• Following one year each at Shadow Ridge High School (2018-19), Oliver headed to Phoenix, Ariz., where he has been suiting up for the PHH Prep Fire since his junior year in 2019-20.
• Currently ranked as a three-star recruit and the 13th-best 2021 recruit in the state of Arizona, OliverÂ
• Through the 2019-20 season, Oliver starred for PHH Prep and turned into one of the squad's go-to players. With Oliver on their side, the PHH Prep accumulated 34 wins while taking on teams from 15 different states and three countries.Â
• PHH Prep is affiliated with The Grind Session - a winter circuit of elite high school basketball events. A total of 25 teams from states such as Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida,
Kentucky, Minnesota, Nevada, New York and Washington, comprise institutions in The Grind Session.Â
• At the end of the his junior season, Oliver was named The Grind Session's Under the Radar Player of the Year.Â
• As a member of the Shadow Ridge High School squad in 2018-19, Oliver topped the Stallions' charts in scoring. Oliver helped the Stallions put up a 21-8 overall record as well as an 8-2 showing in region action.
• Throughout his prep career, Oliver held offers from Arizona State, Nevada, Pepperdine and Winthrop among others.Â
