Box Score SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.– Aaliyah Prince scored at least 20 points for the second-straight game but the New Mexico State women's basketball team fell 70-60 on the road at Cal Poly on Thursday night.

Both teams started out slow with the first bucket coming from Cal Poly (1-1, 0-0 Big West) at the 8:13 mark. After six-straight points from Prince, the Aggies took a 6-5 lead which would be the Aggies (1-3, 0-0) last lead of the quarter and they trailed the Mustangs 21-15 after one.

The two teams duked it out in the second quarter, trading buckets the entire time. However, the Aggies closed the gap and trailed by three at halftime, 34-31. Prince had 13 points at the half.

NM State started strong out of the half and took a 35-34 lead after a put-back from Prince at the 7:36 mark. However, Cal Poly ripped off a 9-0 run take back the lead at 43-35. The Aggies continued to battle but were unable to retake the lead and entered the fourth quarter trailing 51-48.

The fourth quarter started back-and-forth and NM State trailed 59-55 with 4:08 to play after a three-point play from
Rodrea Echols. Although, the rest of the game would be all Mustangs and The Aggies fell 70-60.

Prince scored 21 points, her second-straight 20-point game after dropping a career-high 25 at UTEP on Dec. 2.
Deja Terrell added eight points and four boards for the Aggies. As a team the Aggies shot 46-percent from the floor and were outrebounded 38-27.

NM State now heads to Malibu for a showdown with Pepperdine at 2 p.m. (MT) on Saturday, Dec. 12. No fans will be allowed by Aggie Nation can watch the game live on
