Movin' It
The New Mexico State athletics department announced that both men's and women's teams will relocate to Phoenix to start Western Athletic Conference play as current COVID-19 restricions in New Mexico exclude the Aggies from practicing or playing in the state. The Aggies will be isolated in the Grand Arizona Resort and play their games on the campus of GCU until Doña Ana County turns from a "red" county to a "green" county.

Scouting the Jayhawks
Kansas is currently 4-2 with a 1-0 record in Big 12 play with a conference win over Oklahoma. The Jayhawks are coming off a 72-69 loss to North Dakota State, however, Kansas was playing that game without its leading scorer, Holly Kersgieter. Last season, KU finished 15-14 overall with a 4-14 Big 12 record.
Â
Kersgieter, who scores 17.4 points per game is one of four Jayhawks who average double-figures. Tina Stephens (12.8), Aniya Thomas (10.8) and Julie Brosseau (10.2) are the other Jayhawks averaging double-figures. As a squad, KU scores 76.5 points per game, good for fourth in the Big 12.
Â
Last Time Out
The Aggies wrapped up a long road trip with an 81-72 win at Denver on Dec. 15 before a game scheduled for Dec. 19 against NAU was canceled. At Denver,
Aaliyah Prince scored 20 points for the third time in her last four games.
Soufia Inoussa added 19 while
Adrianna Henderson and
Deja Terrell each scored 10 points.
Â
Up Next
The Aggies are set to open their conference "home" slate with a pair of matchups against Dixie State on Jan. 8 and 9 in Phoenix at the Canyon Activities Center on the campus of GCU.
