The NM State track and field program will make the trip to Nampa, Idaho, for the 2020 Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
The two-day meet will start Friday, Feb. 28, and conclude Saturday, Feb. 29, at the Ford Idaho Center.
SCHEDULE
Friday's action begins at 9 a.m. MT with the penthahlon. Field and track events start at 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, before the first day concludes with the distance medley relay finals at 6:25 p.m.
The champions in the triple jump, weight throw and 500m will also be decided Friday.
The second and final day of the championship meet opens up with combined events, starting with the 60m hurdles at 9 a.m. The pole vault goes off at 9:50 a.m., while the 1,000m race is scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m.
Additional field events get going at 10 a.m. Saturday, and running events are in full swing by 2 p.m. The 60m, 200m, 400m, 800m, mile, 300m, 60m hurdles, 4x400 relay, high jump, pole vault, long jump and shot put finals are decided during the action-packed day.
The championship meet finishes with the awards ceremony, which is slated to commence at 5:45 p.m.

ABOUT THE MEET
Eight schools, including the Aggies, will compete in the indoor conference championships. CSU Bakersfield, Chicago State, Grand Canyon, Kansas City, Seattle U, UT Rio Grande Valley and Utah Valley round out the field.
The Lopes, winners of six consecutive indoor conference track titles, were selected as the lone favorite on the women's side for the fifth straight year. Grand Canyon received five first-place votes and gathered 47 points in the Pre-Championship Coaches Poll, while NM State earned the three remaining first-place votes and was picked to finish second with 45 points.

AGGIE UPDATE
Headed into this year's indoor championships, NM State sits atop the conference's performance list in seven events - 60m dash, 200m dash, 400m dash, 60m hurdles race, 4x400 relay race, high jump and triple jump.
Senior
Keosha Sanders holds the WAC's top time in the 60m dash this season. Her effort of 7.38 is also the best time in NM State history.
Freshman
Essence Brown leads the conference in the 200m dash with her time of 24.83. She is .01 seconds ahead of senior
Lashira Tremble, who also owns the conference's second-best time in the 60m dash (7.42) this year.
The WAC's top-three times in the 400m dash are maintained by Aggie competitors, led by senior
Brooke Wallace's time of 56.10. She is followed by senior
Lanie Whelpley and sophomore
Daneisha Woodside at second (56.33) and third (56.38), respectively.
Junior
Telecia Briscoe and senior
Nia Garcia are the conference's top-two performers in the 60m hurdles this season. Briscoe holds the top spot at 8.71, which ranks fifth in program history.
The Aggies' 4x400m relay team, which includes Wallace, Woodside, Whelpley and Brown, has the WAC's best time this year. The foursome clocked in a 3.44.27 earlier this season at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational - a time that ranks as fourth best in program history.
Senior
Keyarha Wilson hold the conference's top mark in the high jump of 1.70m. Her jump leads the WAC by .05m and is tied for third best in school history.
Freshman
Dascha Robinson enters the championships with a massive edge in the triple jump. Her distance of 12.45m, which ranks second in the program record book, is .90m ahead of the next closest competitor.
