@NMStateWSOC Adds Jara to Coaching Staff

Aggies complete staff with goalkeeper coach Allie Jara.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's soccer team announced Allie Jara as the squad's new goalkeeper coach, head coach Rob Baarts announced on Thursday.
 
We are very excited to add a young, up and coming coach like Allie!" said Baarts. "She is a very competitive and knowledgeable coach that will fit in nicely to our new and improved culture. Allie will bring great energy and goalkeeper expertise to a solid group of goalkeepers."
 
A native of Yorba Linda, Calif., Jara comes to Las Cruces with coaching and playing experience. She most recently served as the graduate assistant at Utah Valley while also training club-level goalkeepers for Utah Arsenal FC.
 
Jara last played for UVU during the 2019 season when she started 18 of 19 matched played as a graduate transfer. She secured 11 wins, 62 saves and five shutouts as the Wolverines made it to the Western Athletic Conference championship match. Jara also played goalkeeper for three years at San Diego.  
 
The Aggies' new goalkeeper coach earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from San Diego in 2019 and is set to graduate from UVU with a master's of business administration at the end of the summer.
