• Weber State enters the contest with a 4-5 record, including a 1-1 record in a pair of early Big Sky matchups.
• The Wildcats bolster a stout defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 38.1 percent on the season.
• The squad donning purple is led by leading scorers Daryn Hickok and Jadyn Matthews as each average 13.8 points per tilt.
• Prior to a seven-point outing against Tarleton on Dec. 11, Hickok posted three-straight scoring lines of 22 or more points, including back-to-back double-doubles in games against Portland State and Colorado State.
• Meanwhile, Matthews is also the Wildcats' top rebounder as she pulls down 8.4 boards per game.
• Inside the Dee Events Center, Weber State has been perfect this season, managing a 3-0 record, while riding a five-game win streak dating back to last season.
• The Wildcats are coming immediately off a 10-point home victory over fellow WAC member Tarleton on Saturday, Dec. 11.
• Saturday's win also featured three Wildcats that reached double figures as Matthews led the way with 16 points, Kori Pentzer scored 15 and Emma Torbert added 12.

• In a second consecutive heartbreaker, the Aggies fell to their rivals from El Paso in overtime.
• Similar to when NM State suffered defeat to New Mexico, the Aggies led for three quarters before giving the Miners made a push in the fourth quarter to send the 88th all-time meeting into extra time.

Taylor Donaldson turned in the signature game of her young career as she posted 25 points on 9-of-16 from the floor.
• Fellow sophomore guard
Molly Kaiser was the only other Aggie to reach double-figures as she finished with 12 points in 21 minutes off the bench.
• Foul trouble was an issue all night for the Aggies as three starters fouled out, including leading scorer
Bigue Sarr who played just 20 minutes before reaching the limit.
• The Miners were led by Katia Gallegos who scored a game-high 26 points, including going 16-20 from the free-throw line.
Up Next
After the cancelation of the Houston Baptist tilt, NM State will be back inside the Pan American Center for a mid-day matchup with SAGU American Indian College. This will be the final preseason test for the Aggies before they conference play on Dec. 30 against Seattle U.
Sprinting Out of the Gate
The Aggies toppled Western New Mexico in their season opener, winning by a margin of 54 points. This marked the first 50-plus point win since last November when they derailed Park Gilbert, 92-38. Also, five Aggies reached double-digit scoring for the first time since Nov. 26, 2018 when they did so in a win over Northern New Mexico.
In the blowout win, the Aggies were led by
Molly Kaiser who finished with a career-high 18 points. Oklahoma State transfer
Bigue Sarr also had a productive night, posting 16 points and grabbing six boards in just 16 minutes of action.

NM State will seek its sixth WAC regular-season title since the 2014-15 season. The Aggies are 80-18 in conference play across the past seven seasons.

NM State was picked to finish in seventh place in the WAC Coaches' Poll while the media selected the Aggies to land in sixth this season.
The WAC media also selected junior guard
Soufia Inoussa to the Second Team All-WAC list.
Bringing Home the Hardware
Following her final season with the Aggies,
Aaliyah Prince earned Second Team All-WAC and WAC All-Defensive Team honors. Prince finished the season ranked 11th in the league in steals per game while ranking 13th in points per game.
