DENVER – Score goals, get awards.
After putting up a hat trick in her first WAC outing of the season, NM State women's soccer senior
Shea O'Connor was named the WAC Offensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon.
O'Connor played a big part in the Aggies' first triumph of the season as she scored a trio of second-half goals in NM State's 5-0 WAC victory over Chicago State Friday night at University Field in El Paso, Texas.
With her big night, O'Connor leaped to the top of the Aggies' scoring charts this season. Her three goals and six points are both tops on the team as of this writing. O'Connor's hat trick was the first by an Aggie since Oct. 20, 2017. That season, former NM State greats
Devin Hart and Aileen Garcia each recorded a hat trick in NM State's 8-0 WAC victory over Chicago State.
