Lia Mosher leads the WAC and ranks fifth nationally with a .517 hitting percentage. Mosher has 18 kills on 29 swings with just three attacking errors through two matches.

A number of Aggie newcomers impressed in their debuts in the Crimson and White.

• Freshman
Victoria Barrett debuted with 18 kills against Dixie State on Jan. 25. She wrapped up the two-game series with the Trailblazers with 29 kills and a .234 hitting percentage.

Darian Markham, also a freshman, started both matches for NM State at the Libero position. She finished the series with 24 digs.

• Grossmont College transfer
Shaney Lipscomb hit .375 with eight kills in the first match against Dixie State (Jan. 25) and then led the Aggies with 12 kills on Jan, 26.

• Junior setter
Carly Aigner-Swesey, a transfer from Long Beach State, assisted on 45 kills in NM State's opening series against Dixie State. In the two wins, the Aggies hit .280 as a team.

Scouting the Vaqueros
UT Rio Grande Valley currently sits at 0-4 overall and 0-2 in WAC play. The Vaqueros were swept twice by Dixie State to open conference play. Last season, NM State swept UTRGV in both matchups.

Statistically, the Vaqueros rank towards the bottom in the WAC. They rank 7
th in hitting percentage (.154) and ninth in opponent hitting percentage (.308).

Last Time Out
NM State opened its regular season with a pair of conference games against Dixie State in Tucson. The Aggies defeated the Trailblazers 3-1 on back-to-back days to run their WAC win streak to 22 matches. Freshman
Victoria Barrett was impressive, hitting 29 kills over her first weekend of college action.

NM State came out of the gates hot, hitting .280 with 117 kills over both games against DSU. Five different Aggies hit at least 18 kills in the series.
