The Aggie Roundup
The 2020 WAC Indoor Champions are hoping to carry over that success from a year ago into this year's outdoor season.
The Aggies will be led by its distance crew, as
Jess Dominguez returns after taking gold in the 3000m run and bronze in the 5000m run at the 2020 WAC Indoor Championships.
Corinne Hanson will also be looking for a big season in the distance runs, as she started her spring with a fourth-place finish at the 2020 WAC Cross Country Championships.
Asjah Wallace will be the top returning Aggie in the sprints and hurdles. The group will lack some experience but freshman
Aliyah Logan and
Brianna Gayle are expected to make an immediate impact.
Lanie Whelpley will look to continue her success in the middle distance races, as she finished the 2020 indoor season with a second-place finish in the 400m dash at the WAC Indoor Championships.
In the field events, the Aggies will look to
Dascha Robinson in the jumps after her phenomenal 2020 season. Robinson took gold in the triple jump with a personal-best of 12.69 meters at the WAC Indoor Championships.
Sam Ponds looks to lead a thrower's group that will be inexperienced with two freshman in
Makiya Moore and
Rebecca Green making the trip to Tuscon.
Dave Murray Distance Carnival
