LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After clinching the Western Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship, the New Mexico State volleyball team is slated to wrap-up the regular season with a pair of matches at Chicago State on Monday, March 22, at 5 p.m. (MT) and Tuesday, March 23, at 12 p.m.

The two matches will not count towards NM State's conference record.

• NM State set the school record for hitting percentage in a three-set match hitting .554 against Seattle U on March 3.
Shaney Lipscomb hit 14 kills on 14 attempts to set the school record for hitting percentage in a three-set match.

• The Aggies lead the WAC in hitting percentage (.305), opponent hitting percentage (.119), assists (13.98), kills (15.10) and aces (1.56).

Scouting the Cougars
Chicago State has only played six matches so far and holds a 0-6 record in those matches. The Aggies are 14-0 all-time against the Cougars and have only lost three sets total in those matchups.

Despite their struggles, the Cougars are hitting just .149 as a team, a pair of Cougars rank top-5 in the WAC for hitting percentage. Middles Berenice Alameyda (.411) and Mesalina Severino (.360) rank second and third respectively.

Last Time Out
NM State hosted its first matches in the Pan American Center against Tarleton on March 15 and 16. The Aggies took both matches from the Texans to clinch back-to-back WAC Regular Season Championships and the one-seed at April's WAC Tournament.

On March 15,
Lia Mosher went off against Tarleton for 16 kills on just 22 attacks to hit .636 for the day. Freshman
Victoria Barrett (14) and junior right side
Shaney Lipscomb (12) also added double-digit kills for an NM State attack that hit .311 on the afternoon.

The Aggies followed that up with a 25-20, 25-17, 25-20, sweep on March 16 to clinch the out-right WAC Championship.
Savannah Davison and Barrett each hit 12 kills while Lipscomb added 10.
