LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The NM State women's soccer team (4-9-1) will play its final two road games on Thursday and Saturday, as they head to Seattle, Wash. to take on Seattle U (8-4-2). Thursday's game will begin at 8 p.m. MT with Saturday's game beginning at 1 p.m. MT. Both games will be streamed live on the WAC Digital Network.
Aggie Rundown
The Aggies are led by
Hannah Leitner and
Xitlaly Hernandez. Leitner and Hernandez have each scored five goals for the Aggies this season, as Leitner recorded two goals last week against Dixie State.
Megan Ormson is having a strong freshman season for the Aggies, as she picked up her third goal of the year last Thursday against Dixie State.
In the net, the Aggies have looked to
Makenna Gottschalk throughout the season, and she has been terrific recording 54 saves for a save percentage of 0.720.
Scouting the Redhawks
Seattle U comes into its series with the Aggies with a 8-4-2 record. The Redhawks tied last Thursday's match against Utah Valley and dropped a 4-1 decision to the Wolverines on Saturday. The Redhawks are led by Sydney Carr who is having a spectacular season and is leading the WAC with 15 goals on just 38 shots. The Redhawks have also gotten solid production from Ava Benedetti and Emily Bunnell who have each scored three goals. In the net, the Redhawks are led by Madison Waguespack who has allowed 16 goals and recorded 42 saves.
Last Time Out
The Aggies had a solid showing against Dixie State last week. The Aggies tied the Trailblazers last Thursday, but the Aggies prevailed on Saturday in a 1-0 win.
The Series
The Aggies are 1-8 against the Redhawks with its only win coming on Oct. 14, 2017. Last season the Redhawks prevailed in a 5-0 win against the Aggies.

The Aggies will complete its regular season with a match against Grand Canyon on Friday Apr. 9 at the NM State Soccer Athletic Complex. The game will begin at 4 p.m. and will be streamed live on the WAC Digital Network.
