NEW ORLEANS, La. - Redshirt senior
Corinne Hanson was named to the Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA on Monday for her work off the field. Hanson was one of 269 Division I athletes to be honored.
The Las Cruces, N.M., native finished the fall with a 4.00 GPA and holds a cumulative GPA of 3.927 while majoring in biology. To qualify for the all-academic team, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and have either qualified for the national championship meet or finish in the top five at their conference championship. Hanson posted the best finish by an Aggie at the WAC Championships since 2017 after running a personal-best time of 21:25.30 and finishing fifth.
This is the first time Hanson has been honored by the USTFCCCA.
