2021 Schedule Set for @NMStateWSOC

Aggies set to host eight matches at the Soccer Athletic Complex.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's soccer is all set for the 2021 season as head coach Rob Baarts announced the Aggies' schedule on Thursday afternoon. NM State is set to host eight matches at the Soccer Athletic Complex.

The Aggies open the season with their first home night match in a decade, taking on conference newcomer Abilene Christian under the new lights at the SAC at 7 p.m. (MT) on Thursday, Aug. 19. Following the home opener, NM State heads west, first for a showdown at UC Davis (Aug. 27) before a trip to the Silver State to take on Nevada (Aug. 29).

"We're very excited to play under the lights this season for the first time in 10 years," said head coach Rob Baarts. "We have a tough non-conference slate lined-up that should prepare us well for our conference schedule. The girls have been working hard and are ready to hit the pitch."

NM State then heads to Texas for a trio of games starting with a match at Texas (Sept. 2) before a trip to San Antonio to take on UIW (Sept. 5). The Aggies wrap up their Lone Star swing with the Battle of I-10 at UTEP (Sept. 9) and then head back to Nevada to take on UNLV (Sept. 12).

Next, New Mexico State returns to the Soccer Athletic Complex for the Battle of I-25 against New Mexico (Sept. 16) and a matchup with Gonzaga (Sept. 10). Following the home swing, the Aggies travel to Utah for a pair of conference matchups against Dixie State (Sept. 23) and UVU (Sept. 25) before continuing WAC play at home against Seattle U (Oct. 1) and California Baptist (Oct. 3).

The Aggies then hit the road for a trio of conference matches at GCU (Oct. 9), CBU (Oct. 15) and Seattle U (Oct. 17). NM State is set to wrap up the regular season at the Soccer Athletic Complex with three matches against GCU (Oct. 23), UVU (Oct. 28) and Dixie State (Oct. 30). Following the regular season, the Aggies head to Abilene for the WAC Tournament from Nov. 3-7.

NM State is coming off a season in which it advanced to the WAC Semifinals, its best showing at the WAC Tournament since 2014.
