SAN ANTONIO – With a number of big matches on the docket, the Aggies shined on Saturday as they claimed a combined five singles wins and one doubles win.
 
Singles
In solo action, a trio of Aggies moved through the crowd to reach their respective draw championships as senior Miranda Bishard, redshirt sophomore Melissa Cartis and junior Natsuki Nishimura each won on Saturday.
 
Bishard took down Sophia Kermet of host Incarnate Word, 6-3, 2-6 (10-6) to move onto the D Draw title match. Meanwhile, Cartis bested Tarleton's Laure Razet, 4-6, 7-6 (7) (10-2) to earn an opportunity at a championship in the E Draw on Sunday.
 
The C Draw was also favorable for the Aggies as Natsuki Nishimura defeated Elsa Boisson of Tarleton by a score of 6-4, 6-3, to plant herself in the East championship.
 
Additionally, Anna Pinaieva picked up a 5-6, 6-1 (10-2) win over Dianela Rodriguez to secure a spot in the A Draw West finals. Bella Nguyen also managed to battle her way to an appearance in the West finals in the D Draw after she topped Angelo State's Esther Bowers in a tilt that was about as evenly matched as it gets with Nguyen coming out on top by a score of 7-6 (2), 6-7 (3), 14-12.
 
Doubles
On the doubles side, the duet of Dora Kurdi and Georgia Townsend would be the lone Aggie team to earn a victory on Saturday. Kurdi and Townsend picked up a 6-2 win over Razet and Pacheco of Tarleton to emerge as winners of the West side of the bracket in the C Draw.
