EL PASO, TEXAS – Following a dominant opening day at the UTEP Invitational, the Aggies returned to the courts at the El Paso Tennis Center on Saturday morning.
The Aggies competed in a hidden dual against New Mexico while also participating in separate tournament action on day two of the event – picking up four total wins across singles and doubles action.
DOUBLES
- The lone Aggie duo that was able to find success in doubles play was Dora Kurdi and Melissa Cartis who took down Tarleton's Laure Razet and Clara Sobius, 6-4.
SINGLES
- Over in singles action, the Aggies were led by wins from Lisa Zhu, Anna Pinaieva and Natsuki Nishimura. Zhu picked up her second win in as many days as she topped the Lobo's Katherine Jhang, 6-3, 6-2.
- Pinaieva also secured a victory in competition between rivals as she earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over Hsuan Huang.
- Natsuki Nishimura posted her sixth-straight win in singles action as she concluded her Saturday with a 6-2, 6-3, win over Sarah O'Connor of UNM.

The Aggies will wrap up their stay in the Sun City on Sunday as they conclude play at the UTEP Invitational.
