THE FIRST SERVE
• In search of its first dual match win of the 2022 season, the NM State women's tennis team takes a trip north to The Duke City for a Saturday afternoon showdown with in-state rival New Mexico. The Battle of I-25 is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.
Lisa Zhu continues to lead NM State in singles play having gone 2-2 in one-on-one dual matches so far this season. She is the only Aggie with multiple singles wins through 2022 thus far.
• Zhu has also come on strong in doubles play. Playing predominantly alongside Chloe Gavino, Zhu has gone 3-1 in tandem action. She and Gavino possess a 2-0 record in doubles action this year.
• NM State is 1-4 in its last five dual match tilts with New Mexico. Each of the previous two meetings between the two rivals have been decided by scores of 4-3.

SCOUTING NEW MEXICO | ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATISTICS
• Other than a 5-2 setback at the hands of Northern Arizona back on Friday, Feb. 4, New Mexico has done nothing but win since the calendar rolled over to 2022.
• New Mexico owns a 4-1 record in dual match action, but is 1-1 against NCAA Division I competition.
• The Lobos have posted a near-flawless mark of 14-1 (.933) in doubles action through their dual match schedule thus far. Yue Lin Chen and Myu Kageyama are the owners of a 5-0 mark in top-flight action while the duo of Sarah O'Connor and Maria Sodre has put up a 4-0 showing on line three.
• Kageyama (4-1) is one of three New Mexico performers with four singles wins to her credit in 2022. Hsuan Huang (4-0) and Hsiang-Wen Huang (4-1) also have four wins apiece to help the Lobos' singles record stand at 19-9 (.679) in dual match play.

COMING UP NEXT
• Once things wrap up in Albuquerque Saturday afternoon, NM State won't hit the courts again until the first weekend in March. The Aggies will head to Las Vegas, Nev., for a pair of matches beginning with a 10:00 a.m. tilt at UNLV on Friday, March 4, 2022.
