Box Score STILLWATER, Okla. – Facing one of the top programs in the nation on their home courts, the Aggies suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 12 Oklahoma State in the First Round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
DOUBLES
· Making her season debut in doubles play
Melissa Cartis joined
Natsuki Nishimura on the No. 3 line. The duo fared the best against their Oklahoma State opposition as they won two games, but their match would go unfinished.
· Like Cartis and Nishimura,
Lisa Zhu and
Georgia Townsend teamed up for the first time this season. The new duo was able to steal a game from their Cowgirl counterparts but dropped the match 6-1.
· Meanwhile, the team of
Bella Nguyen and
Miranda Bishard entered the NCAA Tournament with the second-most wins on this year's Aggie squad. Nguyen and Bishard joined forces once again, but could not find success as they fell 6-0 on line No. 1.
SINGLES
· The first single match to reach a decision was on the second line as
Natsuki Nishimura dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision. Nishimura finished the season with an impressive 10 overall wins, including winning six of her last 10.
· Fellow Aggie
Georgia Townsend suffered a 6-1, 6-1 defeat on the No. 5 line after making her ninth appearance in competition this season.

Miranda Bishard, who entered the day riding a five-match winning streak dropped her tilt versus Oklahoma State's Sofia Rojas (6-1, 6-1).
· On line one,
Lisa Zhu dropped the opening set 6-2 and would lead 2-1 prior to the conclusion of the match due to completion. Zhu wrapped up the 2021-22 season with an team-best 14-8 record in singles play.

Bella Nguyen also saw her match come to an end before the score warranted completion. After stealing two games in the first set, Nguyen fell 6-0. She then was facing a 4-0 deficit in the second set.
· After helping put up a fight in doubles play,
Melissa Cartis stepped into the No. 6 spot in singles competition and was able to take the first game, but the match would go unfinished (2-6, 1-4, UF).
