Las Cruces, N.M. - NM State women's soccer is back on the road this weekend for the third and final game of this three game road stand, where they will be taking on Texas A&M in an Aggie versus Aggie showdown. Kick off is set for 6 p.m. MT.
NM State is looking for its first victory of the 2022 season after dropping the season opener to Oregon last week, and tying CSU Fullerton this past Sunday.

- NM State wasn't able to bring home a victory last weekend in Fullerton, but they were able to avoid the loss and come back with a tie.
- Mya Hammack and Loma McNeese were the two biggest contributors in this match. Both athletes recorded goals and assists to one another - Hammack assisted McNeese for a score in the 17 minute, along with Bianca Chacon, on a beautiful sequence that gave the Aggies the first goal of the season.
- McNeese later returned the favor by finding Hammack on the outside. Hammack proceeded to get the edge over the defender and found enough space for a shot. The ball was just out of reach the goalkeeper and found its way to the back of the net, tying the game in the 82 minute.

- TA&M comes in to the match 2-0-1 after beating McNeese and Sam Houston. This season they are outscoring opponents 14-0. The only team they haven't scored against is #23 Clemson, which they tied in the season opener 0-0.
- Ten Different players have scored goals got the Aggies this season - three players have at least two goals.
- Senior Defender Katie Smith was named to Preseason All-American watch list. She played the entirety of 15 of the 18 matches she appeared in last season. Her freshman season, she recorded a career high seven assists and was named SEC All-Freshman team as a midfielder.
- Kate Colvin is leading the team in pretty much every offensive category. Through three games, the junior has two goals, three assists, seven points, eight shots, and five shots-on-goal with a .625 shot percentage.

After the Aggie v. Aggie throw down this weekend, NM State will be back home to take on UTEP for the Battle of 1-10 in a Thursday night game scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. MT.
