QUOTABLE | HEAD COACH RICK PRATT
"Our crimson and white meet this year is another great way to start our season. With so many new faces on deck, it will be exciting to see them race for the first time and see where we're at headed into our first couple of dual meets. It is still very early and we have been taking our time getting a solid base of foundations, proper techniques and skills before getting heavy into pace work and increasing the workload. It should be interesting to see how they react to that first phase.
"In general, we're looking for a meet with a lot of team spirit and energy! It should be a beautiful afternoon to compete!"

COMING UP NEXT
• Following its intrasquad competition, the NM State women's swimming & diving team will prepare to host its first dual meet of the season. On Saturday, Oct. 7, NM State welcomes North Texas for a showdown between the two squads at 3 p.m. at the NM State Swimming & Diving Complex.
