SEATTLE, WASH. – New Mexico State freshman Natalia Florian put together a historic showing at the MPSF Championships, totaling 71 individual points, the highest total by a first-year swimmer, while helping the Aggies place second and becoming the first Aggie ever to receive an MPSF annual award.

Florian swam a leg of the championship-winning 800 free relay, splitting 1:48.78 as NM State posted a school and facility record time of 7:12.55. Individually, she placed seventh in both the 200 free (1:50.82) and 200 back (2:02.00), earning 23 points in each event, and added nine points with a 17th-place finish in the 500 free.
