NM State caps its postseason run with solid springboard and platform results

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The NM State Diving squad closed out the 2026 NCAA Zone E Championships (March 7–11) with reliable performances across the 1‑meter, 3‑meter, and platform events, highlighted by Mira Tinani's 13th‑place finish on Platform and multiple top‑25 efforts in one of the nation's most competitive postseason diving meets.

NM State opened its week on the 1‑meter springboard, where Mira Tinani advanced through preliminaries and finished 20th with a score of 250.95 in a field of more than 50 divers. She continued her postseason effort on the 3‑meter board, placing 22nd in prelims with 248.30 against another deep Zone E lineup.

The Aggies saw their strongest collective progress on Platform, where both Mira Tinani and Addison Pastiak advanced to the quarterfinal round, with Mira Tinani placing 17th (222.70) and Addison Pastiak finishing 33rd (194.15) in prelims. Mira Tinani then elevated her performance in the semifinal round, earning a spot in the women's Platform final, where she ultimately delivered NM State's top finish of the meet. In the championship round, Mira Tinani delivered NM State's top performance of the meet, finishing 13th overall with 453.40 points.

NM State wrapped up the 2026 NCAA Zone E Championships with a 19th‑place team finish, scoring 204 points across the week's springboard and platform events. The Aggies' overall standing was driven primarily by Mira Tinani's advancement to the Platform final and additional depth from Addison Pastiak in the prelim rounds, giving NM State a solid postseason showing against one of the NCAA's strongest diving regions.
