ABILENE, Texas – With only singles matches on the slate for the final day of the ACU Invite, NM State closed out their stay in Texas with a pair of two strong results.
 
Anna Pinaieva made a statement with her win over Texas Tech's Jermine Sherif – defeating the Red Raider 6-1, 6-1, in the Flight A 3-4 Playoff. Moments later, Natsuki Nishimura managed a win of her own as she knocked off Libby Blair of ACU on her home courts.

The Aggies will now prepare for their lone ITA event of the fall season as they are scheduled to play in the ITA Mountain Regional in Salt Lake City, Utah, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 11. The tournament will span four days before concluding on Sunday, Oct. 15.
