DALLAS – Angela Garvin, after achieving her best collegiate finish at the Golf Iconic Classic this week, has been named the Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week, presented by Blender's Eyewear. Garvin was the top CUSA finisher at the Golf Iconic Classic, hosted by New Mexico State.
 
NM State outperformed UTEP, Jacksonville State, and Middle Tennessee, with Garvin leading the way. The graduate transfer was under-par in all three rounds (71-70-69), resulting in a third-place tie. Garvin also outshone all CUSA players in the field with 12 birdies throughout the three-day event.
 
The Feeding Hills, Mass., native becomes the third Aggie this season to claim CUSA weekly honors, joining Emma Bunch and Alison Gastelum. On the men's side, Jacksonville State's Erik Jansson secured his third consecutive weekly award.
 
Garvin and the Aggies finished second on their home course this week while hosting the Golf Iconic Classic. NM State broke the previous tournament scoring record, collectively scoring 855 (-9), and both Bunch and Garvin secured spots in the top five as individuals.
