LAS CRUCES, N.M. – For the fourth straight running of the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, NM State has claimed the team championship. The Aggies bested Incarnate Word by nine strokes to finalize their first victory of the season. Over 54 holes, NM State shot an 833 (-19). As a team in the final round, NM State shot a 285 (+1) as the tournament drew to a close.

Javier Delgadillo ran away with the individual championship, firing a 203 (-10). The sophomore from El Paso separated himself from teammate
Alexandre Bauduin over the final round. Delgadillo birdied seven times in Tuesday's final round, including four consecutive between holes six and nine.

Bauduin secured the second place finish on Tuesday after capping off a seven-under 206. After bogeying his first two holes of the day, Bauduin settled in and played the next 16 in bogey-free fashion. On Tuesday, Bauduin carded a two-under 72 that featured four birdies to help lead NM State to their third-straight Herb Wi Jr.mberly Intercollegiate championship.

Lance Christensen Jr. joined Bauduin and Delgadillo in the under-par club in the final round. The South Dakota native saw 18 holes that were highlighted by an eagle on the 15th hole. From there, Christensen would finish the back nine at one-under before finishing the round at 70 (-1).

River Smalley and
Alvaro Morales finalized the scoring for NM State on Tuesday, shooting 73 (+2) and 75 (+4), respectively. Smalley secured his first top-ten finish with an eight-place tie after shooting 212 (-1) over the 54-hole event. Morales just missed a top-ten finish when he posted a 214 (+1).

Among the six NM State individuals,
Vari Mariscal completed his first collegiate top five finish on Tuesday. As a team, the Aggies wore pins that read "DUB" in memory of Mariscal's father, C.W. "Dub" Morris, who passed away this summer. NM State dedicated the season to Dub and have the goal to "be dangerous" in every tournament while fighting in the same manner as Morris continuously fought.

The Aggies will conclude their fall season in Tulsa, Okla. at The Clerico, hosted by Oral Roberts University. Last season, NM State tied for The Clerico championship in a rain-shortened event, firing a 580 (+12).
