EL PASO, Texas – Another strong day in doubles action for the Aggies as they took part in the second day of play at the UTEP Invitational at the El Paso Tennis Club.
 
Anna Pinaieva and Natsuki Nihimura picked up where they left off on Friday as they defeated Idaho's team of Davis and Johansson in a tightly contested match. Later, Dora Kurdi and Whitney Moon found their way as they earned a 6-4 victory over Idaho's Starreveld and Khayadarshina.
 
In singles action, the Aggies' top two players from last year led by example as both Anna Pinaieva and Lisa Zhu earned straight-set victories over their fellow Idaho opponents. Pinaieva tallied a 7-5, 6-3 win over Idaho's Davis while Zhu managed a dominant 6-2, 6-3 win over the Vandals' Rodas.
