FIRST SERVE
• Following a pair of matches in Las Vegas last weekend, the Aggies return home for their final two home non-conference bouts of the season as they host I-10 rival and Weatherford College.
• On Friday, the Aggies will look to make it two wins in a row over the Miners after they knocked off UTEP 4-3 in El Paso, Texas last April. However, UTEP did defeat the Aggies the last time the two schools met in Las Cruces – making the 2018 season the last time the Aggies beat UTEP at home.
• Meanwhile, this will mark the first-ever meeting between the Aggies and Coyotes of Weatherford College.
• Thus far, the Aggies have been led in singles play by Lisa Zhu who has tallied six wins on the season – all coming at the No. 2 position.
• Miranda Bishard, Natsuki Nishimura and Anna Pinaieva also each have four solo wins to their names following a win over Idaho State last weekend.
• In doubles action, Bella Nguyen and Miranda Bishard lead the way with four victories while Anna Pinaieva and Lisa Zhu follow with three wins on the season.
• The duo of Natsuki Nishimura and Valeriia Ivanovskaia is also undefeated as they have recorded wins in their only two matches playing alongside each other.
 
UP NEXT
After dueling with the Miners and Coyotes, the Aggies will take a trip to Tucson, Ariz., to take on a pair of Power Five opponents in Illinois and Arizona. The trip to the Grand Canyon State will also mark the Aggies final matches before entering WAC play against Utah Tech on March 17 at home.
