Valerie Guha Named to CUSA All-Academic Team

The redshirt sophomore earns the distinction for the second consecutive season.

DALLAS – Putting the student in student-athlete, redshirt sophomore Valerie Guha has been named to the 2024 CUSA All-Academic Team, Conference USA announced on Friday.

The redshirt sophomore currently holds a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Biochemistry. On the pitch, Guha has been a leader for the Crimson & White since taking over the starting goalkeeper role in 2023. This season, Guha has recorded a trio of shutouts with a GAA of 1.39 while tallying 64 saves on 187 shots faced. The Friedberg, Germany, native has posted 10 wins in the net for the Aggies, their third consecutive season with 10 or more wins.

Among CUSA goalkeepers, Guha ranks second in overall saves with 64 and fourth in overall shutouts with three, while keeping the same ranking of second in saves (37) and fourth in shutouts (3) in conference action.
