NM State continues CUSA schedule against Middle Tennessee on Friday afternoon.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After three straight on the road, NM State returns to the NM State Tennis Complex where they will host their second Conference USA match. Friday, the Aggies will take on Middle Tennessee with the match set to begin at 2:30 p.m. MT.

FIRST SERVE
  • The Aggies return to action after a weekend trip to Montana where they faced off against Montana and Montana State on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. While remaining competitive, the Aggies came up short in both bouts.
  • Despite the pair of losses, NM State sophomore Anna Pinaieva collected the program's first-ever CUSA Athlete of the Week award after finishing the weekend as the lone Aggie to earn a win in both singles and doubles play. Following the weekend, Pinaieva leads all Aggies with eight wins in singles play.
  • Meanwhile, the duo of Valeriia Ivanovskaia and Natsuki Nishimura escaped the weekend with a perfect 2-0 record as they earned a 6-1 victory on Saturday before claiming a 6-2 win on Sunday. This also marked the first time all season that the duo competed on the same line in doubles action.
  • Entering the week, MTSU holds a record of 8-9 overall, including an 0-1 record in CUSA matches after falling to FIU in Miami on March 5.
