WAC Winter All-Academic List Includes 14 Members of Aggie Swim and Dive Program

Four seniors and one graduate student highlight group of Aggies.

ARLINGTON, Texas – Once again, the NM State swimming and diving program has displayed its ability to be successful in and out of the pool as 14 honorees represented the Aggies on the Western Athletic Conference Winter All-Academic list.
 
Wednesday, the league office announced the 2024 Academic All-WAC honorees for winter sports, with a total of 427 student-athletes across six sports recognized. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative
grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
 
NM State was one of eight institutions to have swimmers and divers represented – joined by California Baptist, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado and Utah Tech which made up a list of 117 total swim and dive athletes to earn the distinction.
 
With the 14 included, the NM State swimming and diving program has now collected 113 academic all-WAC selections across the last five seasons.
