DALLAS – NM State women's tennis was honored by the conference office on Wednesday morning as the program drew recognition for its play during the spring season. 
Anna Pinaieva earned All-Conference USA Singles Second Team honors while the doubles team of 
Valeriia Ivanovskaia and 
Natsuki Nishimura claimed All-CUSA Doubles Second Team recognition. The awards were announced following on a vote of the league's nine head coaches.
 
After earning First Team All-WAC honors as a freshman, 
Anna Pinaieva added to her list of awards following another successful spring campaign. This season, the native of Brovary, Ukraine, was a force for the Aggies at No. 1 and No. 2 in singles action. She posted a dominant 4-0 record against CUSA opponents during the regular season while recording nine wins in her first ten singles matches this season. In total, Pinaieva ended the spring with a 12-6 record in singles action. On March 27, Pinaieva was also named the CUSA Athlete of the Week after leading the Aggies during their two-match stretch in Montana.
 
 
Meanwhile, the duo of 
Valeriia Ivanovskaia and 
Natsuki Nishimura landed honors after putting forth a strong spring season. The tandem first joined forces on March 23 and went on to win their first five matches alongside one another, including starting the conference season with a perfect 3-0 record. During this stretch, the pair outscored opponents 30-10 with only one opposing duo winning more than three games in a single match. On the year, Ivanovskaia and Nishimura combined to finish with a 5-2 overall record and a 3-1 record in conference play.
 
 
With the 2023-24 season representing the inaugural season for the Aggies in Conference USA, this marks the first pair of CUSA awards for the NM State program.
