ANNIKA Award is presented annually to the top female Division I collegiate golfer.

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Yet another awards list includes Aggie sophomore Emma Bunch. Just two days after wrapping up play in the NCAA Cle Elum Regional, Bunch was named to the 2023-24 Final ANNIKA Award Watch List presented by Stifel which honors the 10 finalists for the award presented to the nation's top Division I golfer.

With the selection, Bunch becomes the first Aggie in program history to receive the honor while also being the lone member of this year's list to hail from a non-Power Five institution. Joining Bunch on this year's list is Zoe Antoinette Campos (UCLA), Rachel Kuehn (Wake Forest), Ingrid Lindblad (LSU), Catherine Park (Southern California), Julia Lopez Ramirez (Mississippi State), Louise Rydqvist (South Carolina), Amanda Sambach (Virginia), Paula Martin Sampedro (Stanford) and Lottie Woad (Florida State).

The national honor adds to the list of awards that Bunch has received amid her standout year. In addition to being named to the ANNIKA Award Watch List, Bunch was named a Arnold Palmer Cup International Team selection while also earning Conference USA Golfer of the Year and Conference USA Most Improved Player of the Year honors. These awards came on the heels of a spring campaign in which Bunch garnered five CUSA Golfer of the Week honors.

This season, Bunch won at least a share of the individual title in each of the Aggies' final five spring competitions. The hot streak was capped off by winning the individual crown at the CUSA Championships where she finished seven under par to win the even by one stroke.

On the year, Bunch played a total of 33 rounds and averaged an 18-hole score of 70.2 strokes. Her lowest round of the year was a 66 which she posted three different times this season and most recently during the second round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. She also tallied nine top-10 finishes this season while posting a top-25 finish in all 11 events she competed in this season.

About Fred Haskins and the Haskins Foundation
From the seaside town of Liverpool to a quaint Donald Ross course in Georgia, Fred Haskins built a reputation for mentoring young golfers. Haskins was head professional at the Country Club of Columbus for 34 years, recommended for the position by the legendary Bobby Jones. His proteges learned the game in Saturday morning classes that cost a nickel. They went on to win more than 150 collegiate and amateur tournaments. Since its formation in 1971, the Haskins Foundation has been devoted to amateur golf and the presentation of the Haskins Award. This coveted trophy honors the year's outstanding college golfer and the memory of Fred Haskins, a club professional that spent his life nurturing and mentoring amateur golfers. The foundation, based in Columbus, Ga., oversees the voting for the Haskins and ANNIKA Awards conducted among college golfers, coaches, past winners, and college golf media.
