LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State is set to host Texas A&M-Commerce in its first-ever match-up on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. MT. The Aggies hope to continue their home dominance as they are currently on a seven-game home unbeaten streak.

Meredith Scott earned the first Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week of the 2024 season, becoming the first Aggie to do so on the year. becomes the first Aggie to win Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week in the 2024 season. This is Scott's second time winning a Conference USA Award in her career.

Scott is coming off a spectacular week scoring two goals in the first two contests of 2024. Her first came in the final 30 seconds of the 2-2 draw with then #23 USC. She shortly followed with her second goal of the week in the first three minutes of the UNM match, the first of three NM State goals in a 3-1 rout over rival New Mexico. Â

Entering the 2024 season three Aggies have made quite a splash in the Aggie record book.
Loma McNeese currently sits at second in all-time assists and game-winning goals. The fifth year She is also third in points, third in shots, and fourth in goals.

Xitlaly Hernandez has continued climbing the record book in her five seasons wearing the crimson and white. She is sixth in all-time assists, seventh in shots, tenth in points and tenth in goals. Goalie
Valerie Guha ranks second in all-time shutouts, sixth in goalkeeper wins, seventh in goals against average and tenth in career saves.

Unbeaten
The Aggies are currently on an 11-game regular season unbeaten streak, with their last loss being USC on Sept. 14, 2023. They are also on a seven-game home unbeaten streak with their last loss being UNLV on Sept. 7, 2023.

The Aggies are now 12-2-6 at home dating back to 2022. Since 2023 Offensive Player of the Year
Loma McNeese arrived on campus the Aggies are 20-8-6 at home.

History
This will be the Aggies and the Lion's first time playing each other. Â Playing in the Southland Conference, TAMUC recently made the jump to Division I, reclassifying from Division II in 2022.

Scouting the Lions
The Lions are 1-1 on the year with a 4-1 win over Oral Roberts and a loss to Conference USA member UTEP, 0-1. Hannah Bell is leading the Lions in goals with two both coming in their game against Oral Roberts. Both Camila Montero and Savannah Powell have one goal on the year.
Ashley Campuzano, Hailey Griffin and Mya Mitchell all have one assist. The Lions have played two different keepers, Gillian McKenzie and Veronica Pacione who have both played 90 minutes. Each of their keepers has allowed one goal and each has recorded one save.
