SEASIDE, Calif. – The NM State men's golf team concluded play at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Wednesday at Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. For the third consecutive day, the Aggies improved their team score by submitting a 295 (+7) in the final round, bringing their three-day total to 889 (+34) which was good for 14th overall.
Senior
Ethan Klose led the way for NM State, finishing with a total score of 221 (+5) to tie for 42
nd after carding a 75 (+3) on Wednesday. Mateo Payán posted an even-par 72 in the final round to come in just one stroke back of Klose and in a tie for 49
th.
Javier Delgadillo followed closely behind, shooting a 74 (+2) in the final round to finish at 223 (+7) and in a tie for 56th.
Max Chan recorded a 77 (+5) in round three and ended the tournament at 228 (+12), placing him in a tie for 75th.
Bryant Hernandez rounded out the Aggie lineup with his best round of the week, shooting a 74 (+2). This led to Hernandez finishing in a tie for 75
th alongside Chan.

With the fall schedule now in the rear view mirror, NM State will prepare for its spring season which is set to begin with a trip to Tucson, Ariz., where it will compete in the N.I.T. hosted by the University of Arizona at Omni Tucson National. This tournament will start on Monday, January 26, and will be the first of six regular season events that the Aggies will take part in before playing in the Conference USA Championship in Texarkana, Ark.
