LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State capped off a successful weekend at the NM State Tennis Center with an impressive showing on the final day of the Aggie Invite. The Aggies secured three flight championships in singles play to conclude their fall campaign on a high note.
Senior Anna Pinaieva led the way, claiming the Flight A title after taking down New Mexico's Yu Yun Tsai in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6. Montana Parkinson-Lubold also delivered an impressive performance, defeating Coumba Ben Niangadou (New Mexico) 6-4, 6-1 to earn the Flight B championship. Meanwhile, Emma Petton capped off her weekend by besting Vivica Corley (New Mexico) 6-3, 6-2 to claim the Draw D crown.
The Aggies continued to build on their momentum across all courts as Whitney Moon notched a solid 6-1, 7-5 win over Andrea Bernardo (Lubbock Christian), while Nadia Nemeth cruised past Sarah L'allier (New Mexico) 6-2, 6-1 to round out the team's strong finish.
With Sunday's results, NM State closes out its fall season, which featured multiple successful outings across its four tournaments. The Aggies will now take a break from competition before returning to action in January when the spring season kicks off.
