LAST TIME OUT | VS GONZAGA (Jan. 31)
Last time out, the Crimson & White put up a strong fight against Gonzaga on Saturday Jan. 31 but saw its three-match winning streak snapped in a 4-1 defeat at home. Freshman Nadia Nemeth delivered the Aggies' lone singles victory, defeating Norhan Hesham in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6. In doubles action, Whitney Moon and Dora Kurdi secured a 6-4 win, but the Aggies narrowly missed out on the doubles point after Anna Pinaieva and Nemeth fell in a tight 7-6 battle. Moon was also locked in a competitive singles match, leading 7-6, 5-4, when play was halted. Despite the loss, NM State showed resilience throughout the match and will look to bounce back in its next outing tomorrow against Seward County.
