Senior Lisa Zhu recognized among conference’s academic elite.

DALLAS – NM State senior Lisa Zhu has been named to the CUSA All-Academic Team, the league office announced Friday morning. Zhu is one of just six student-athletes across the conference to receive the distinguished honor.

To qualify for the CUSA All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, and compete in at least 75% of their team's matches during the season.

The lone senior on the Aggie roster, Zhu has embraced a leadership role both on and off the court. Competing primarily at the No. 2 position in singles and doubles, she's compiled an impressive 8-6 singles record and an outstanding 11-2 mark in doubles play this spring.

A computer science major, Zhu currently holds a 3.9 GPA, exemplifying excellence in both academics and athletics as she continues to be a driving force for the Aggies.
