TUCSON, ARIZ. – There's no place like the Southwest. Making their first trip outside the state of New Mexico this season, the Aggies posted a strong showing at the Dave Murray Invitational, hosted by the University of Arizona at the Tucson Country Club. Senior Amanda Radava led the way in the women's 6K, taking the individual crown while helping the Crimson & White secure their second team title in 2025.

The men's 8k began the morning of action in Tucson, where Arizona native Andrew Gibby notched his third top finish of the season for NM State – taking 10th overall with a time of 24:58.0. Orion Chavez (18th, 25:23.6) and Derick Castellanos (23rd, 25:39.4) rounded out the top three finishers for the Aggie men. Running unattached, Mesa CC transfer Nick Valle recorded a time of 25:53.4.

A trio of sophomores followed, with Leo Valenzuela, Angel Maese and Gabriel Uranga crossing the line with times of 26:06.2, 26:07.6 and 26:29.8, respectively.

The women's 6k served as the final race of the morning, highlighted by a first-place finish by Grobina, Latvia, native Amanda Radava. The senior posted a time of 22:01.8, spearheading the Aggies' path to the team championship. Nia Allison followed shortly behind, finishing third with a time of 22:15.1 – a massive personal best and her best individual finish in cross country competition.

Valeria Macias Casas posted her best finish in the Crimson & White, taking fifth overall with a time of 22:22.6. Marlene Mosqueda crossed the line in sixth with a result of 22:38.2, while former NM State student-athlete Maggie Gibbs took seventh running unattached.
