ABILENE, Texas – NM State continued to build momentum on the second day of the ACU Invite, collecting four singles victories while also adding another doubles win to their weekend tally. 

In Flight A, Anna Pinaieva bounced back from her Day One result by securing a hard-fought 7-6, 7-5 win over SFA's Felicia Back. Emma Petton followed suit with a dramatic three-set victory in Flight C, edging out Texas State's Olivia Collins 6-3, 6-4, [13-11]. 

Whitney Moon and Montana Parkinson-Lubold both prevailed in extended battles, with Moon grinding out a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 triumph over SFA's Sonja Rooth in Flight D, while Parkinson-Lubold held on for a 7-5, 6-4, 7-5 win against UTA's Vanja Cado in Flight E. Rounding out singles play, Anna Klimova earned her second straight win of the tournament with a 7-5, 6-1 decision against LA Tech's Mio Kozaki. 

In doubles action, the duo of Pinaieva and Moon carried over their strong singles play, claiming a 6-3 victory over Tarleton State's Mukhutdinova and Castano in Flight A. 

The Aggies will return to action tomorrow for the final day of competition in Abilene.
