NM State looks to rebound against Idaho to close weekend

NM State 0, Oregon 4
NM State opened its 2026 spring season on Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to Oregon at the Student Tennis Center.

The Ducks claimed the doubles point after securing wins on courts one and three. Whitney Moon and Anna Pinaieva battled at the top spot but came up short in a 6-3 decision, while the No. 3 pairing of Anna Klimova and Nadia Nemeth also dropped a 6-3 result. The No. 2 doubles match was left unfinished with Dora Kurdi and Montana Parkinson-Lubold trailing 5-4.

Oregon carried its momentum into singles play, earning straight-set victories at the top two positions to clinch the match. Anna Pinaieva competed at No. 1 singles, while Nadia Nemeth took the court at the second spot, with both matches going in favor of the Ducks.

The Aggies were locked in competitive contests before play was halted. Whitney Moon was battling at No. 3 singles in a tightly contested match, while Montana Parkinson-Lubold and Emma Petton were also mid-match at the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Anna Klimova rounded out singles play at the No. 6 spot.
