HOUSTON – Friday morning, a trio of Aggies will make their World Baseball Classic debuts as they represent Team Mexico in this year's highly anticipated tournament. Former Aggie standouts Nick Gonzales, Joey Ortiz and Samy Natera will all serve as fixtures on Team Mexico's roster in 2026.
Aggie fans can catch the three Aggies in action beginning Friday, March 6, at 11 a.m. MT, as Team Mexico begins the tournament with a matchup against Great Britain that will air live on FS1. This will be the first of four pool play games that Team Mexico will compete in Houston as they battle against the United States, Great Britain, Brazil and Italy in Pool B.
Of this group, the top two teams will advance to a single elimination tournament that is scheduled to begin on March 13 in Miami, Fla. The World Baseball Classic Championship Game is set for Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. MT.
