DALLAS – Posting a shutout victory over FIU in the 2026 conference opener, Conference USA announced on Tuesday that senior NM State goalkeeper Karolanne Lafortune was named the CUSA Goalkeeper of the Week.
 
Against the Panthers, Lafortune tallied five saves while facing 13 shots, her fifth game with at least five rejections on the season.
 
The shutout became her second of the season, recording her first against Abilene Christian, where she faced 23 shots, including two penalty kicks in the last 10 minutes of the game.
 
On the season, the Montreal, Quebec, Canadian leads the conference in saves (60), saves per game (6.00) and ranks fourth in save percentage (.789).
 
With Lafortune's honor, this becomes the first weekly award for the Aggies since Valerie Guha tallied CUSA Goalkeeper of the Week honors on Aug. 19, 2025.
